September 30th, 2020

CSL was started on September 30th, 2020 as a basic alert service for launches and other information via Twitter. From there, we slowly started to experiment with other forms of alerts and methods, and after months of experimenting, it worked.

March 14th, 2021

CSL's first official stream was on March 14th, 2021 and was to say the least, not great. Multiple issues in that stream happened including audio errors, video buffering, frame drops, and more.

From that stream, everything improved with custom graphics, higher quality equipment (Upgraded from a laptop to a dedicated PC), audio issues fixed, video buffering and frame drops stopped, and commentary. Everything slowly increased from there as we saw the market and how much people liked streams like this was increasing.

May 14th, 2021

CSL in May of 2021 got one of the biggest breaks we could get. On May 14th, 2021 CSL did a stream following the Tianwen-1 Mars rover mission, operated by the CNSA. This stream alone got 21,000+ views with an average view count of 600 viewers. This stream launched us into the algorithm and increased viewers for more CSL streams.

Late 2021

In late 2021 We launched CSL News and the CSL Newsletter, both with the goal of continuing to educate and spread knowledge about space and space related activities. To further this goal, we released CSL EDU in January/February of 2022 with the goal of helping more people understand space.

As of today, CSL has still been improving quality, stream consistency, and more. We have a team of people that helps us make all of our streams possible, along with the "CSL Clips" of launches, landings, dockings, and more.
